Queensland on a Plate at Regional Flavours!
Invited media and foodies alike were given a taste of what’s to come to Regional Flavours 2019 at a Media Launch proudly delivered by PDPR alongside Brisbane Marketing. Regional Flavours celebrates all things Queensland and brings together food and beverage producers around the state for one weekend in July at South Bank.
Joining PDPR at the media launch was the Dessert King himself, Reynold Poernomo, a MasterChef Australia 2015 contestant and Hall of Fame inductee, along with local producers and stall holders at Regional Flavours, Leisa Sams from Hum Honey and Lauren Brisbane from QCamel. Guests were delighted with canapés as they arrived and were shortly seated to enjoy a live cooking demonstration from Rey as he created his amazing dessert, the Nomtella cake, from his famous dessert bar in Sydney, KOI Dessert Bar & Dining.
Following Rey’s cooking demonstration was a panel discussion with Rey, Leisa, Lauren and our own Managing Director of PDPR, Annika with a Q&A to conclude the event. An important theme that was discussed by our panel was the festival’s continue for sustainability and no waste cooking. Single-use plastic bottles are not being sold at the market stalls at Regional Flavours along with all food waste to be recycled by Mallow Sustainability for compost for organic food farming. OzHarvest will also rescue any food that is suitable to eat for their Fight Food Waste programs.
Regional Flavours is highly anticipated and will bring together an amazing marketplace of food and beverages. PDPR are thrilled to be working with the team at Brisbane Marketing on all PR endeavours for Regional Flavours in 2019. A huge thank you to the team for their support and effort to help make the day run smoothly. PDPR would also like to extend their thanks to the guests on the day, Leisa Sams from Hum Honey, Lauren Brisbane from QCamel and the talented Reynold Poernomo, along with Brandition, Merlo Coffee and Judit Losh Photography. PDPR would also like to thank the partners of Regional Flavours: The Courier Mail, EatSouthBank, Network 10 and GOA Billboards.
We look forward to seeing you at Regional Flavours 20 – 21 July at South Bank. It will be an action-packed weekend so you won’t want to miss out! And make sure to share your Regional Flavours experience on the weekend using #visitsouthbank and #regionalflavours.
